Small Group

We are now offering new small groups for the fall.  Please check the information in the church foyer and turn in the completed form to the office.  Sign-ups will continue until August 30.

Structure

One Another Groups are designed to mix the generations more often so that the younger can learn from the older, and relationships can be established across lines that may not otherwise be crossed.

Focus

Small groups will focus on instruction from God’s Word, but the focus will primarily be on getting to a greater personal level regarding the application of the principles.   The setting will be smaller, allowing for more opportunities for each individual to share regarding the impact of God’s Word.  This will lead to a focused time for praying for each other and challenging each other in ways not easily accomplished in larger groups.

Time Frame

Small groups will generally meet for approximately 2 hours.   This allows for quiet people to warm up, for studying God’s Word, and focusing on prayer.

Size

Groups of 15 or less will make it difficult for those involved to fall through the tracks.   When they don’t attend, it will be obvious, and someone will be pursuing them before the next meeting.   The size will also enable the group to respond quickly to the needs that arise with individuals, as well as allowing more opportunity for sharing and praying.

Fellowship

The focus will be on deepening relationships with other believers and God.

Outreach/Open

The goal here is to grow and divide.   These groups will be designed as a place where newcomers can attend and quickly be connected with members of the body.

Special Focus

This could include pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, parenting, men’s concerns, women’s concerns, finances, etc.
