There is a wide variety of music at Berean. During the morning service, there is a blend of worship styles, the 5 p.m. evening service is a more traditional service, while the 6:30 p.m. service is our contemporary service. There is always room for involvement in our music ministry. Feel free to contact the music director if you have any questions. Praise Team All of our services utilize a praise team, which consists of a bass player, guitar player, keyboard player, piano player, drummer, violinist, flutist, and three praise singers. Practice for the morning service begins at 9 a.m. on Sunday, 4:30 p.m. for the 5 p.m. service, and 5:15 p.m. for the evening service. We encourage involvement in our praise team from all ages (high school to retired). Handbells The handbells are a 5-octave choir. The music level varies in range, from moderate to expert, and members need to be able to read music in both treble and bass clef. The handbell choir performs in the church services at least 4 times a year. Orchestra The Orchestra is a combination of winds and strings. The orchestra plays once a month in the am service. Berean Adult Choir The adult choir ministers from September to the first week of June. It is a traditional SATB choir. Practice time is on Wednesday night from 6:45-8:15 p.m. A wide variety of styles are sung, and the choir participates in seasonal music as well. Girls For His Glory This is for junior high girls, grades 7 th and 8 th. Practice is on Sunday afternoons, and performances are typically during the Sunday services. The group goes from fall to spring Drama Group The drama team practices for each scheduled event, on average twice a month. Dramas are also done during Christmas and Easter. Instrumentalist/Vocalist There is always opportunity to participate in special music in both Sunday services and various seasonal times. |
